Privacy Policy
How NextGen Tech Innovation LLC collects, uses and protects personal information when you use TheNextGenInnovation. This policy covers buyers, sellers and visitors who never create an account.
Last updated: August 2026
1. Who is responsible for your data
NextGen Tech Innovation LLC, of 5734 Kleinpeter Rd, Tr. 44, Baton Rouge, LA 70811, United States, is the controller of the personal information described here. You can reach us at the address above or by email.
2. What we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: name, work email, password (stored only as a hash), company name, phone number and time zone.
- Enquiry details: the product or category you asked about, your requirement, budget, timeline, seat count and anything else you type into a demo, callback or quote form.
- Order and billing details: billing address, tax registration number where applicable, and the order itself.
- Support and community content: tickets, messages, questions, answers and reviews.
- Seller verification: for seller accounts, the legal entity details, registration and tax identifiers, and the documents uploaded to evidence them.
Information collected automatically
- Device and connection data: IP address, browser and operating system, and the pages you view.
- Attribution data: the referring site and any campaign parameters in the link you arrived through.
- Cookies and similar technologies, described in section 7.
What we deliberately do not hold
We never see or store your full card number, expiry date or security code — those go directly to our payment processor. We hold only the card brand, the last four digits and the processor’s reference, which is what is needed to show you which card was used and to reconcile a refund. For the same reason, seller payout records hold a bank reference and the last four digits, not a full account number.
3. Why we use it, and on what basis
- To perform our contract with you: creating and running your account, taking payment, issuing licences and invoices, and providing support.
- For our legitimate interests: routing enquiries to sellers, preventing fraud and abuse, measuring which listings and campaigns work, and improving the platform.
- With your consent: marketing emails, web push notifications, and WhatsApp or SMS messages. Each is opt-in and can be withdrawn at any time.
- To comply with legal obligations: tax and accounting records, and responding to lawful requests.
4. When we share it
With sellers. Submitting a demo, callback or quote request sends your name, work email, phone number, company and stated requirement to the relevant seller so they can reply. Placing an order shares what the seller needs to fulfil it. Sellers are contractually required to use this only to respond to you and to fulfil the order.
With service providers who operate parts of the platform on our behalf and only on our instructions: payment processing, invoice delivery and transactional email, SMS and WhatsApp messaging, web push delivery, hosting and error monitoring.
Where the law requires it, or to establish or defend legal claims, or in connection with a merger or sale of the business — in which case the acquirer remains bound by this policy.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers for their own use.
5. How long we keep it
- Account data: while your account is open, and for up to 24 months after you close it, in case you return.
- Order, invoice and payment records: for as long as tax and accounting law requires, currently seven years.
- Enquiry and CRM records: up to 36 months from the last contact.
- Support tickets: 36 months after the ticket is closed.
- Reviews and questions: kept while published; if you close your account they are anonymised rather than deleted, so the ratings other buyers rely on stay accurate.
- Seller verification documents: for the life of the seller account and seven years after it closes.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- correct anything inaccurate — most of it you can edit yourself from your profile;
- delete your account and the data we are not legally required to keep;
- stop sending marketing, or narrow which notifications you receive, at any time;
- restrict or object to certain processing, or ask for your data in a portable format.
Most of this is available directly: your profile page controls your details and every notification channel, and deleting your account is a single action there. For anything else, write to us and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK you may also complain to your local data protection authority; California residents have the rights described under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them.
7. Cookies
- Strictly necessary: the session and CSRF cookies that keep you signed in and protect form submissions. The site does not work without these.
- Preference: remembering your region, currency and theme.
- Analytics: aggregate counts of which pages and listings are viewed, used to decide what to build and what to promote.
You can clear or block cookies in your browser. Blocking the strictly necessary ones will sign you out and prevent checkout from working.
8. Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit. Passwords are stored as salted hashes and are never recoverable in plain text. Two-factor secrets and recovery codes are encrypted at rest. Uploaded verification documents and purchased downloads are held on private storage and served only through access checks tied to your account. Access to production data is limited to staff who need it.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal information we will notify you and the relevant authority as the law requires.
9. International transfers
We operate from the United States, and our service providers may process data in other countries. Where information moves out of the EEA or the UK we rely on approved transfer mechanisms, including standard contractual clauses, to keep the same level of protection.
10. Children
TheNextGenInnovation is a business marketplace and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We will post any change here and update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we will tell you before it takes effect.
